Luis Arraez had 3 base hits and 4 RBI at Comerica Park as the Jamaica Smoke
staged a comeback win over the Hollywood Marines by the count of 11 to
9.
Jamaica won the game with a rally in the 9th inning as they scored 6 runs on 6
base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Arraez who quieted the crowd
when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Hollywood was not lacking for run
support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they
seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames.
The victory went to Bryse Wilson(3-4) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Ryan Pressly(8-6) took the loss in relief. 'I pin this one on my own
shoulders,' Pressly said. 'The bottom line is I didn't get the job done. Our
fans deserve better than this.'
