They almost ran out of baseballs at Edsel Stadium as Gotham Gold Gloves
clobbered the slumping Dallas Gibsons pitching staff, scoring 13 runs while
Patrick Sandoval(7-6)with bullpen help surrendered 2 runs to Dallas.
Gotham claimed the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run on 2
hits. Ronald Acuna doubled. Jack Suwinski got his turn next, but he was a
strikeout victim. Bobby Witt Jr then delivered a base-hit scoring the run.
Gotham bats were hot in the 2nd inning with 4 runs on 4 hits and the 8th
inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits. Gotham had 20 hits for the night
while Dallas had 8.
Jose Berrios(9-9) was charged with the loss. Gotham scored big getting 7 runs
off him in 6 and 1/3 innings.
