Bryce Miller delivered 7 solid innings at Truist Park where the Aarlington
Aardvarks beat the Dallas Gibsons by the score of 9 to 5.
Dallas found themselves trailing quickly as the Aarlington bats came through
in the first inning with 2 runs. Jeff McNeil opened up the inning nicely
when he drew a walk. Jorge Mateo got his chance to keep things going, but he
went down on strikes. Alec Bohm then cleared the fences for a two-run home
run. Both teams ended up with 10 hits on the night.
Miller(7-6) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Miller got relief help
from Michael Tonkin who gained credit for his 18th save. Shane
McClanahan(1-9) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving
up 7 runs in 6 innings.
Aarlington now has a record of 65-76. Not able to get much going in recent
weeks, Dallas is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of 50-91.
