Pete Alonso cracked 3 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Hollywood Marines
destroyed the pitiful Burbank Tigers by a score of 14 to 2 at Burbank
Park.
Alonso enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 2nd inning, laced a single in the 3rd inning, smashed a
solo-shot out of the park in the 4th inning and smashed a two-run homer in
the 8th inning. Hollywood finished with 19 hits while Burbank ended up with
6.
Logan Allen(2-6) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Luis Severino(1-4)
was tagged with the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Alonso said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
