Jeff McNeil blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Truist Park as the Aarlington
Aardvarks beat the awful Dallas Gibsons 18 to 11.
McNeil was unconscious all evening. The Dallas fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He singled
in the 1st inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 3rd inning, delivered a
one-base hit in the 4th inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run in the 5th inning and lined a single in the 7th inning. Aarlington bats
were very productive in the 3rd inning when they had 4 runs on 5 hits, the
4th inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits and the 9th inning which saw
them plate 4 runs on 3 hits. Dallas was not lacking for run support as they
scored in 6 separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they seemed to
forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames.
Seth Lugo(6-8) was the winner allowing 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Cody
Bradford recorded his 3rd save. The loss was charged to Grayson
Rodriguez(3-3). He allowed 3 homeruns in 9 innings of work.
