Shortstop Willy Adames smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Dyersville
Jurassics topped the hapless Streator Reds by a score of 19 to 10 at Jurassic
Park.
Adames enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He lifted one out of
the park for a two run home run in the 1st inning, lined a one-base hit in
the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th inning and clubbed a two-run home run in
the 6th inning. Dyersville bats were hot in the 1st inning which saw them
plate 7 runs on 7 hits, the 3rd inning with 4 runs on 6 hits and the 6th
inning when they had 4 runs on 6 hits. Overall Dyersville out-hit Streator
24 to 13.
The winning pitcher was Lucas Erceg(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. The losing pitcher was Alex Wood(1-5). He was not very effective,
surrendering 16 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
