Jack Suwinski ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Yusei Kikuchi didn't allow a
hit until the 7th inning at Edsel Stadium where the Gotham Gold Gloves beat
the Dyersville Jurassics 9 to 2.
It was a good day for Gotham thanks to Suwinski. He hit a single which plated
a run in the 2nd inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 6th inning
and smashed a two-run homer in the 8th inning. Gotham had 11 hits overall,
while Dyersville had 2.
The victory was credited to Kikuchi(10-5) who went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs.
The left-handed Kikuchi lost a no-hitter when Anthony Rizzo homered with one
out in the 7th inning. Miles Mikolas(8-12) was the losing pitcher.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Kikuchi - except Dyersville. Jim
Aldrich lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys off
balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun
game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
