Grayson Rodriguez carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Dallas
Gibsons defeated the Tampico Stogies 3 to 0 at Busch Stadium.
Rodriguez(2-2) was virtually untouchable. He allowed only 4 hits and 2 walks
in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 6.23 to 4.63. The right-handed Rodriguez
lost a no-hitter when William Contreras singled with nobody out in the 6th
inning. Dallas rapped out 8 hits for the night.
Johan Oviedo(10-4) suffered the loss. 'He was moving it around and spotting
it very well.' Mike Aldrich said. Rodriguez pitched a great game. He
deserves all the credit.'
