Eugenio Suarez had 2 base hits as the phenomenal Palatine Cubs defeated the
pathetic Dallas Gibsons by a score of 5 to 2 at Truist Park.
Palatine had the winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 3
base hits. After two were out Marcell Ozuna kicked off the action when he
drew a walk. Garrett Hampson came to the plate and smacked a single.
Anthony Volpe then banged out a single, and an error was also committed,
driving home two runs. Suarez came up and he delivered a one-base hit
scoring the final run of the inning. Overall Palatine out-hit Dallas 13 to
8.
Daniel Coulombe(3-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Brusdar Graterol earned the save, his 17th. Eduardo Rodriguez(6-12)
was charged with the loss. He was touched for 10 hits and 2 walks in 7 and
2/3 innings.
