Pete Alonso jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Hollywood
Marines topped the New York The Yanks by a score of 9 to 6 at Lateralus
Parabola.
Hollywood came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 9th inning with 3
runs on 4 base hits. Adley Rutschman got things going when he lined a
one-base hit. David Robertson then let a pitch get away from him. Jarren
Duran then laced a base-knock. Duran took off for second and slid in with a
stolen base. Austin Riley was the next batter, but he struck out. Alonso
got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Seiya Suzuki next to the
plate and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Pablo Reyes then
smacked a single driving home two runs. Bryson Stott came up and he
delivered a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning. Hollywood had 15
hits for the night while New York had 7.
The win went to Jojo Romero(1-2) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Jeff Hoffman preserved the game for Romero, recording his his 4th save.
Robertson(5-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings allowing 3 hits and 1 walk.
