The Gotham Gold Gloves defeated the Streator Reds by a score of 7 to 4 at
Edsel Stadium.
Streator was unable to claim the lead after Gotham went ahead in the bottom of
the 2nd inning when they tallied 3 runs on 3 hits. The critical plate
appearance was by Eddie Rosario who made the crowd happy when he lifted one
out of the park for a two run home run. Gotham managed 11 hits in their
victory.
The win was credited to Yusei Kikuchi(9-4) who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
Ian Hamilton earned the save, his 13th. Alex Wood(1-2) was given the loss.
He was touched for 11 hits and 5 walks in 8 innings.
