Freddy Peralta whiffed 12 batters and first baseman Anthony Santander rocketed
2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at The Heffadrome as the Columbus Crowd beat the
Holland Heffalumps by the count of 5 to 2.
Santander had a big day with his bat. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run in the 1st inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 8th
inning. Columbus finished with 8 hits in the victory.
The victory was credited to Peralta(5-6) who went 7 innings, allowing 1 run.
Taylor Rogers recorded his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Tristan
Beck(3-4).
Steve Seydell was impressed with Peralta and his 12 strikeouts. 'It's tough
to generate runs if you can't make contact with the ball.'
