The Palatine Cubs easily topped the hopeless Dublin Pubcrawlers; the final
score was 6 to 1.
Palatine took the lead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning plating an
isolated run. Anthony Volpe tripled. Eugenio Suarez was a strikeout victim,
unable to help out. Chas McCormick then hit a deep fly scoring the run.
That early scoring was all that Jon Gray(13-2) needed. Palatine finished
with 12 hits in the victory.
David Peterson(2-11) suffered the loss. He surrendered 2 runs and 7 hits in 6
innings.
