The Aarlington Aardvarks pitching staff gave the fans an evening that they'll
never forget by tossing a combined no-hitter! The tension started to build
around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified and
chalked up 9 strikeouts. Aarlington rapped out 10 hits for the night.
The victory was credited to Cristian Javier(6-3) who went 6 innings, allowing
no runs. Javier got help from Julio Teheran who earned his 6th save. Paul
Blackburn(5-6) was tagged with the loss.
'You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this
happening,' said Javier who got credit for the win, 'I don't expect it to
sink in for awhile.' he said. 'You know, it's hard to say who was better, the
starter or the bullpen!'
