What an evening for the Tampico Stogies! They shellacked the Gotham Gold
Gloves pitching for 8 runs while Johan Oviedo(9-3), with relief help from
Aroldis Chapman, throttled Gotham.
Oviedo was very good in the win. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 3
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings lowering his ERA from 4.08 to 3.78. Gotham was
out-hit by Tampico, 13 hits to 3.
Patrick Sandoval(4-4) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his
6 innings of work.
