Trea Turner collected 2 extra-base hits as the Burbank Tigers defeated the
Palatine Cubs in 10 innings 4 to 3 at Burbank Park.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Burbank pulled
the game out in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Michael Conforto
got things rolling when he was hit by a pitch. Thairo Estrada followed and
he laced a base-knock knocking in a run. Andrew Vaughn was a strikeout
victim, unable to help out. Jarred Kelenic was up next and he delivered a
base-hit giving Burbank the win as 27,081 happy fans joyfully celebrated.
Burbank had 9 hits for the night.
The win was credited to Emmet Sheehan(3-3) who went 1 inning allowing 1 run.
