by a final score of 9 to 5.
Lane Thomas enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run
in the 3rd inning, stroked a one-base hit in the 7th inning and doubled
scoring a run in the 8th inning. Tombstone rapped out 13 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Joe Ryan(11-4) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings. Hector
Neris gained credit for his 1st save. Mark Leiter(2-1) was charged with the
loss in relief.
