In a two run game the streaking Tampico Stogies got by the ice-cold Dyersville
Jurassics by the score of 3 to 1.
Tampico did all the necessary damage in the 7th inning as they scored 3 runs
on 4 base hits. The big moment was provided by Ketel Marte who disappointed
the partisan crowd when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. Overall
Tampico out-hit Dyersville 9 to 6.
The victory went to Tyler Wells(4-4) who went 7 innings, allowing 1 run. Wells
was helped out by Felix Bautista who recorded his 25th save. Carlos
Estevez(4-6) was hit with the loss in relief.
With the win, Tampico continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at
8 games and counting. Mike Aldrich held court after the contest, 'Everything
is coming up aces right now. It is important for our team to ride this wave
as long as we can. Every win is important.'
