Nick Pivetta pitched 7 strong innings at Lateralus Parabola where the New York
The Yanks beat the Tampico Stogies by the score of 2 to 1.
In the 5th inning New York scored 2 runs. The biggest moment was provided by
Lamonte Wade Jr who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he cracked a
two-run shot. Tampico threatened in the 9th but New York was able to put
down the rally.
The win went to Pivetta(8-4) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. Pivetta got
help from Tommy Kahnle who was credited with his 1st save. Tyler Wells(2-4)
was the losing pitcher. He allowed 2 runs and 5 hits in 7 innings.
