Burbank Tigers won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Dublin Pubcrawlers at Burbank
Park pulling it out in their last at bats, 6 to 5.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. Lourdes Gurriel drew a walk. Max
Kepler next to the plate and he doubled. After an out was recorded, Jarred
Kelenic then laced a one-base hit making Burbank the victor and beginning a
joyous home town celebration. Burbank had 11 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Jake Bird(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Drew Verhagen(2-3) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and
2/3 innings allowing 1 hit and 3 walks.
