Center fielder Brandon Nimmo had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Busch Stadium where
the Holland Heffalumps beat the Tampico Stogies in 10 innings 5 to 3.
The score was tied at 3 after nine. Holland was victorious in the 10th
inning. Brandon Lowe started the attack as he drew a walk. Kyle Schwarber
stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk to load the bases. Randy
Arozarena was the next batter, but he struck out. Nimmo stepped in and he
delivered a single bringing in two baserunners. Although they lost, Tampico
did out-hit Holland 12 to 7.
Jose Alvarado(3-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings.
Aroldis Chapman(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. While he was the losing
pitcher, he still struck out 5 batters in 2 innings.
