Jose Altuve launched 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Caracas Leones
man-handled the Dallas Gibsons - the final score was 18 to 0.
Altuve propelled Caracas to victory. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, blasted a solo shot in the 4th inning, laced a one-base hit which
plated a run in the 5th inning and ripped a single bringing home two
baserunners in the 6th inning. Caracas kept the scorekeepers busy in the 5th
inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 3 hits and the 6th inning when they had
4 runs on 5 hits. Caracas had many opportunities throughout the game and
scored in 6 separate innings.
The victory went to Dean Kremer(4-3) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Graham Ashcraft(1-9) suffered the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 9 runs in 4 innings.
'Everything seemed to click tonight,' Altuve said 'if it could only be this
easy all the time!'
