The Aarlington Aardvarks snapped their 6 game slide and and the Hollywood
Marines locked up in an exciting one-run game at Comerica Park. The final
score was the Aarlington Aardvarks 5, the Hollywood Marines 4.
Aarlington promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they scored
3 runs on 3 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Adolis Garcia who
disappointed the partisan crowd when he cracked a two-run shot. Hollywood
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Zack Greinke(2-3) allowed no runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Gabe Speier recorded the save, his 1st. Bobby Miller(4-3) was charged with
the loss.
'We won because we did the little things right.' Steve Linke said after the
game. 'This is why we practice things over and over and over, so when we get
in close games we don't make mistakes.'
