In an great finish the Dyersville Jurassics won in dramatic fashion over the
Woodfield Roadkyll by a score of 5 to 4 at Jurassic Park.
Dyersville erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
plating 2 runs utilizing 3 base hits. J.T. Realmuto led off and he slapped a
base-hit. Julio Rodriguez next to the plate and he slapped a single.
Rodriguez was safe at second on a stolen base. Willy Adames was up next and
he doubled resulting in a mighty exciting win for Dyersville and the 34,475
home town fans in attendance. Dyersville had a total of 9 hits for the game.
Josh Sborz(3-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Evan Phillips(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief.
Sborz and Realmuto were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great
come from behind victory. As Jim Aldrich noted, 'A win like this one can do
wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the
players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
