In a tight game it was the Tampico Stogies 4, the Streator Reds 2 at Streator
Park.
Tampico jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner on
3 hits. After an out was recorded, Ketel Marte doubled. Will Benson
followed and he doubled scoring the run. Tampico took care of Streator with
no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
Touki Toussaint(4-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Toussaint was helped out by Felix Bautista who recorded his 14th save. Yu
Darvish(0-6) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 4 runs and 8 hits in 8
innings.
'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Toussaint said.
