At Jurassic Park, the Dyersville faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel. Aaron Nola(5-2) finally bested his Dublin counterpart,
Roansy Contreras(0-1), by the score of 2 to 1.
Dyersville scored 2 runs in the decisive bottom of the 3rd inning. After an
out was recorded, Brandon Marsh was the sparkplug when he doubled. Elias
Diaz stepped up next and he smashed a two-run homer. That early run support
was enough for Nola and Dyersville. Dublin had a chance in the 9th but they
came up short.
Caleb Ferguson got the save, his 1st. Contreras suffered the loss. Despite
the loss, he struckout 11 Dyersville batters in 7 innings.
Dyersville extended their winning streak to 7 games.
