Joe La Sorsa came through with a solid 4 innings as the Chicago Whales
defeated the floundering Dallas Gibsons by a score of 5 to 3 at Truist
Park.
The game started off with Chicago taking the lead in the first scoring one
runner. Dallas threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
La Sorsa(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 4 innings. Joe
Jimenez recorded his 1st save. Eduardo Rodriguez(1-7) was the loser. He was
unable to control the Chicago offense and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and
1/3 innings.
'This was a tough loss,' said Steve Felson, 'the kind that sticks with you for
awhile.'
