Palatine Cubs topped the Vernon Hillbillies by the slimmest of margins, 3 to
2.
Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Palatine
prevailed in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Luis Robert
initiated the scoring when he cracked a two-run shot giving Palatine the win
as 19,265 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Palatine totaled 9 hits on the
