Ronald Acuna blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Gotham Gold Gloves beat
the Dallas Gibsons by a score of 12 to 3.
Acuna really lit it up for Gotham. The Dallas fans let him have it for what
he did to their boys. He clubbed a solo home run in the 1st inning, doubled
plating two runs in the 3rd inning, hit a single knocking in a run in the 5th
inning and delivered a solo blast in the 8th inning. Offensively, Gotham was
a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.
The victory went to Michael Lorenzen(3-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
The loss was charged to Jose Berrios(2-5). He allowed 3 homeruns in 2/3 of
an inning of work.
'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Acuna said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
