The Streator Reds snapped their 6 game slide and readily handled Columbus
Crowd by a score of 8 to 4 at The Horseshoe.
Streator had the winning rally in the top of the 8th inning when they came up
with 4 runs on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Victor
Robles who silenced the stadium when he doubled with all three baserunners
touching home. Streator had 11 hits for the night while Columbus had 7.
The winning pitcher was Matt Brash(3-2) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Bryan Abreu preserved the game for Brash, recording his his 3rd
save. Jason Foley(0-1) was the loser in relief.
