Drew Rasmussen pitched 6 strong innings as the Tombstone Huckleberries topped
the Dublin Pubcrawlers by a score of 8 to 2 at Poets Field.
Tombstone took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning scoring one
runner. Matt McLain drew a walk. Jose Trevino followed next and he ripped a
base-hit. Nelson Velazquez then grounded into a double play scoring the run.
Tombstone had 8 hits overall, while Dublin had 5.
Rasmussen(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing no
runs. Rasmussen was helped out by Ken Waldichuk who recorded his 3rd save.
David Peterson(2-3) was charged with the loss. He gave up 6 runs in 3 and
2/3 innings of work.
The Tombstone ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 20-9. With
the loss Dublin now has a record of 11-18.
