The Tampico Stogies had very little trouble at Busch Stadium downing the
Dublin Pubcrawlers. The score was 8 to 3.
Tampico scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they had 3 base
hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Johan Oviedo(2-0) and
Tampico. That was all the run support Oviedo required. Dublin was out-hit
by Tampico, 11 hits to 7.
David Peterson(2-1) was the loser. By giving up 7 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings
his ERA increased from 4.30 to 6.52. Wth the win Tampico now has a record of
a division leading 13-5. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Dublin is 2-8
lately and 7-11 on the year.
