The Dallas Gibsons edged the Holland Heffalumps at Truist Park by the score of
6 to 5.
Dallas took the lead for good in the bottom of the 7th inning with 2 runs.
Andrew Benintendi kicked off the action when he drew a walk. Tim Anderson
came to the plate and stroked a single. Anderson was running on the next
pitch and he stole second. Jonathan India came up and he was hit by a pitch.
Clay Holmes then let a pitch get away from him which plated a run. Luis
Garcia did his part to keep things going and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the
final run of the inning. Holland had a chance to come back in the 9th but
they came up short.
Adam Ottavino(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Josh
Winckowski earned the save, his 2nd. Erik Swanson(0-1) was the losing
pitcher in relief.
'You have to give Holland credit, they fought us tough to the end' Steve
Felson said. 'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out the
victory.'
