First baseman Spencer Torkelson touched them all and had 3 RBI and Taj Bradley
struck out 12 batters at Comerica Park as the Streator Reds beat the
Hollywood Marines by the count of 9 to 7.
Bradley(2-0) delivered a fine performance for Streator. He was reached for 5
hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. Hollywood had a chance in the 9th but they
came up short.
Logan Allen(0-2) was the loser. He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks
in 3 innings. Bradley was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well,
it's a little odd when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of
cheers and a running tally in the stands, everything gets real still and
quiet. Just strange - but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the
game.'
