pitching duel at Long Grove CG. The Vernon Hillbillies eventually emerged as
victors over the Palatine Cubs by the score of 1 to 0.
Lopez gave up the game's only run when Vernon scored in the bottom of the 4th
inning. Vernon managed only 5 hits on the night.
