Jose Urquidy mowed down 10 Dyersville batters at Jurassic Park as the Tampico
Stogies beat the Dyersville Jurassics 4 to 2.
Kyle Stowers provided the offensive punch. He doubled resulting in a run in
the 1st inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 6th inning and doubled in the
8th inning. Tampico rapped out 8 hits for the night.
The win went to Urquidy(8-11) who allowed 2 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Felix
Bautista gained credit for his 41st save. Aaron Nola(19-4) was the losing
pitcher.
Urquidy was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well, it's a little
odd when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of cheers and a
running tally in the stands, everything gets real still and quiet. Just
strange - but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the game.'
