The Gotham Gold Gloves and the Chicago Whales locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Edsel Stadium. The final score was the Gotham Gold Gloves 6, the
Chicago Whales 5 in 10 innings.
The score was tied at 5 after nine. Finally, Gotham pulled the game out in the
10th inning. Acuna proceeded to steal third base. Amed Rosario was a
strikeout victim, unable to help out. Kolten Wong then reached on an error
giving Gotham the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Gotham
finished with 10 hits in the victory.
Devin Smeltzer(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 4 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Kendall Graveman(3-1) was given the loss in relief. He
pitched 1/3 of an inning and surrendered no hits and no walks.
