In an embarrassing outing for the Tampico Stogies pitching staff, Tombstone
Huckleberries flexed their collective muscle amassing 11 runs as Chris
Bassitt(11-11), with relief help from J.P. Sears, surrendered 2 runs to
Tampico.
Lane Thomas made sure the Tombstone fans enjoyed themselves. He lashed a
single in the 3rd inning, laced a one-base hit in the 5th inning and tripled
plating three runs in the 7th inning. Overall Tombstone out-hit Tampico 10
to 5.
Sears recorded his 3rd save. Jose Urquidy(7-11) was given the loss. He
pitched 4 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 5 hits and 2 walks.
