Right fielder Sam Haggerty hit 2 doubles as the very potent Dublin Pubcrawlers
defeated the Hollywood Marines by a score of 4 to 1 at Comerica Park.
Dublin delivered all the runs required in the 4th inning when they scored 4
runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Albert Pujols who deflated the crowd
as he smashed a two-run homer. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th
inning with no runs scored after that point.
The win was credited to Nestor Cortes(8-7) who went 7 innings allowing 1 run.
Ryan Helsley was credited with his 27th save. Jesus Luzardo(3-7) was the
losing pitcher. Despite the loss, he struckout 9 Dublin batters in 6
innings.
