Cal Quantrill went 6 strong innings at The O.K. Corral where the Tombstone
Huckleberries beat the Tampico Stogies by the score of 8 to 6.
It was a good day for Tombstone thanks to Jorge Mateo. He cleared the fences
for a two-run home run in the 1st inning and tripled bringing in a run in the
5th inning. Tampico threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
The win went to Quantrill(11-5) who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings. Quantrill got
help from Alexis Diaz who was credited with his 38th save. Luis
Severino(4-8) was the losing pitcher. Tombstone scored big getting 8 runs
off him in 6 innings.
