William Contreras blasted 2 homeruns as the Palatine Cubs defeated the Burbank
Tigers in 12 innings 8 to 7 at Kauffman Stadium.
Both teams had scored 7 runs after nine full innings. Palatine won it in the
12th inning. After an out was recorded, Luis Robert was walked
intentionally. Chas McCormick followed next and he slapped a base-hit making
Palatine the winners and sending the 18,877 fans home happy. Palatine
finished with 15 hits while Burbank ended up with 12.
The victory was credited to Mackenzie Gore(3-3) who went 1 inning, allowing no
runs. Zach Thompson(1-8) was tagged with the loss in relief.
