Brandon Nimmo had 3 base hits as the Dublin Pubcrawlers defeated the slumping
Tampico Stogies 8 to 4 at Busch Stadium.
Tampico was unable to climb back into it after Dublin went ahead for good in
the 3rd inning with 2 runs utilizing 4 base hits. Nick Gordon started the
inning off right when he delivered a one-base hit. After an out was
recorded, Nimmo came to bat and ripped a base-knock. One out later, Jose
Ramirez then ripped a base-hit resulting in a run. Vinnie Pasquantino was up
next and he stroked a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning.
Overall Dublin out-hit Tampico 17 to 4.
Johnny Cueto(8-7) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Zack
Greinke(9-8) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 5
runs in 4 innings.
