Kolten Wong smashed 2 homeruns as the Gotham Gold Gloves pulled out a win over
the Dallas Gibsons by a score of 5 to 4 at Edsel Stadium.
The game was won by Gotham when they scored a run in the 9th inning. After an
out was recorded, Wong lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' giving Gotham the win
and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Dallas had 13 hits in the game
while Gotham had 10, but Gotham had the more timely hits.
The victory was credited to Chris Martin(3-6) who went 1/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Anthony Bass(3-5) was given the loss in relief. He pitched
1 inning and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
The Gotham ballclub's record now stands at 60-83. With this loss, Dallas has
a 3-7 record of late, 49-94, worst in the division overall.
