Alex Cobb whiffed 10 batters as the New York The Yanks bested the Hollywood
Marines 2 to 1 at Lateralus Parabola.
Cobb(10-8) pitched well for New York in their victory. He went 6 innings
surrendering 5 hits and 1 walk. After the 2nd inning, neither team was able
to score.
Cobb was helped out by Kyle Finnegan who recorded his 8th save. Domingo
German(4-6) was charged with the loss. Jim Calabrese was asked about the
performance of Cobb, 'He had his good stuff out there tonight. The fans
really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to
give him even more adrenalin.'
