Drew Rasmussen delivered 6 solid innings and Lane Thomas had 2 base hits as
the Tombstone Huckleberries defeated the Vernon Hillbillies by the score of 5
to 1 at The O.K. Corral.
Vernon fell behind quickly as the Tombstone offense came through in the first
inning when they came up with 3 runs on 3 hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Rasmussen(8-6) and Tombstone. That was all the run support
Rasmussen required. Tombstone had 9 hits for the game and Vernon had 5.
