Marcus Stroman came through with a solid 6 innings at Jurassic Park where the
Dyersville Jurassics beat the Gotham Gold Gloves 7 to 0.
Gotham was unable to recover after Dyersville went ahead in the bottom of the
3rd inning scoring a single run on 3 base hits. Eric Hosmer singled. Elias
Diaz followed and he lined a single. Tim Anderson then grounded into a
double play. Santiago Espinal stepped in and he drew a walk. Julio
Rodriguez came up to bat and stroked a one-base hit scoring the run. That
early run support was all that Stroman(4-5) required. Dyersville had 13 hits
for the game and Gotham had 3.
Ryan Pressly earned his 10th save. Patrick Sandoval(6-7) ended up with the
loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 9 hits and 3 walks in
6 innings.
