Sandy Alcantara went 6 solid innings at Comerica Park as the Hollywood Marines
beat the Oakland Athletics by the count of 3 to 0.
In the bottom of the 2nd inning Hollywood went on top for good scoring one
runner. After two were out Luis Gonzalez lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'.
That early scoring was all that Alcantara(17-9) needed. Neither team managed
to score after the 4th inning.
Rafael Montero got the save, his 19th. Dylan Cease(10-7) was the loser. He
was stingy with the baserunners, allowing just 5 hits and no walks in 7
innings.
