Second baseman Jose Altuve blasted 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Caracas
Leones beat the Holland Heffalumps by a score of 10 to 3.
Altuve was a source of great heartache for the Holland faithful all evening.
He just kept pounding out hits! He cracked a solo homerun in the 1st inning,
smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning, blasted a solo shot in the 5th
inning and hit a single which brought home a run in the 8th inning. Holland
was out-hit by Caracas, 12 hits to 8.
Sonny Gray(8-6) went 5 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. The losing
pitcher was Ranger Suarez(9-8). He served up 3 gopher balls in 4 innings.
'They made a couple of mistakes and I took full advantage,' Altuve said 'next
time I'm sure they'll pitch me tougher.'
