It was a great finish at Lateralus Parabola as the New York The Yanks pulled
off a dramatic comeback beating the Burbank Tigers by the count of 5 to
4.
New York came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2
runs on 3 hits. Kevin Newman started the inning off right when he doubled.
Christian Vazquez was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Manuel
Margot then delivered a single plating a run. Margot got a great jump and
stole second easily. Austin Wynns was a strikeout victim, unable to help
out. Taylor Ward joined his teammates in the uprising and laced a one-base
hit giving New York the victory and sending the 35,916 home-town fans home
happy. New York and Burbank each finished the night with 12 hits.
The victory was credited to Michael Fulmer(1-1) who went 2/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Josh Hader(6-8) was given the loss in relief.
'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball, especially games like
this, of course,' Jim Calabrese offered. 'Everyone at the stadium had a
great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'
