35,906 fans were treated to a fine game at Lateralus Parabola as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Burbank Tigers won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Burbank was victorious
in the 11th inning. Ben Gamel laced a base-knock. Trea Turner dug into the
batters box next, but he struck out. Ryan Mountcastle then hit a deep fly
scoring the run. Both teams totaled 9 hits on the night.
The win went to Austin Gomber(2-3) who allowed no runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
Gomber got help from Josh Hader who was credited with his 9th save. The loss
was charged to Michael Fulmer(0-1) in relief. He was pinned with the loss
despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
